Sarah Karris
Sarah Karris has worked for over ten years in Toddler, Early Childhood, and Elementary Montessori classrooms, bringing passion and dedication to her students.. She believes that children learn best when they feel empowered, safe, and loved, and strives every day to instill those feelings in the children in her care. Ms. Karris also strives to model her love for learning, encouraging curiosity about nature and the world around us.
Outside of school, Ms. Karris loves hiking, movies, playing with her dogs, and sewing, particularly quilting. She has a son in San Diego and a daughter at Florida State, and loves when they come to visit. She loves sharing her children’s adventures with the students in her class.
Ms. Karris received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, and worked in marketing analysis for Highlights for Children magazine. Ms. Karris started substitute teaching in local elementary, middle, and high schools which led her to Montessori education through her daughter’s elementary school. She is Montessori certified in Early Childhood.
