“An education capable of saving humanity is no small undertaking; it involves the spiritual development of man, the enhancement of his value as an individual, and the preparation of young people to understand the times in which they live.”

— Dr. Maria Montessori, Education and Peace

Rise of the Tide Annual Fund

Dear St Augustine Community:

Since 2012, we are committed to making Montessori education available to all. Rise of the Tide is a yearly appeal to our community, which bridges the gap between tuition and expenses. Your support is crucial to sustain our educational programming and retain our exceptional faculty. In such a small school, each and every gift has a direct impact. The participation of every family is a measure of confidence in this amazing school and a show of gratitude for what STA Montessori is offering to our children.

We encourage our entire community – parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, Trustees, alumni, and local businesses – to consider making a meaningful gift so that we can continue our mission to provide students with a learning culture that is grounded in Montessori philosophy and practice that inspires a love of learning, and respect for self, others, and the environment. Our priority is to make sure we are able to provide the appropriate learning resources and tools to all of our students.

Thank you for making a real difference in the lives of our children and to the future of our community.

In the service of the child,

Diane M. Dodds, Director

FAQs

How can my family contribute?

Give a One-Time Gift

You can pay immediately by credit card using VISA, MasterCard, or Discover.

Set up a Recurring Monthly Payment

Consider making an automatic monthly contribution. A small amount each month adds up to a significant gift by the end of the year. For example, $100 per month (the cost of one dinner out), is a gift of $1000 over the year. If you are interested in setting up a recurring monthly payment plan, please reach out to Rebekah Andreu. rebekah.andreu@stamontessori.org

All gifts provide immediate benefits to the School and are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

How much should I give?

You may be concerned about your own financial position, making philanthropic interests an impossible reach during these days of inflation. We ask that you give as generously as you can. A contribution to the Annual Campaign is one that will pay lifetime dividends for your children, and for future generations. In addition, your donation, unlike tuition fees, is 100% tax-deductible.

When should I give?

Rise of the Tide (our annual fund) typically kicks off each fall, but our fiscal year is July 1 through June 30.

What is the annual goal for STA Montessori?

Our goal is to reach $250,000. All gifts—no matter how large or how small—are so appreciated. Help us get to 100% participation!

Who supports the annual campaign?

Families play an active role in the school community. Our current parents, former parents, grandparents, alumni, trustees, friends, faculty, and staff share the responsibility of meeting the school’s educational goals and ensuring a soundly governed and financially healthy institution.

How can I ask my employer to match my donation?

I am an alumni. Why should I give?

Many alumni tell us that St Augustine Public Montessori School provided the foundation for their character formation and success experienced at high school, college, and beyond. Just as annual gifts supported your education in your years at the school, your gift each year ensures that the tradition of excellence in developing the whole child continues on for current and future students. Giving back to a place that provided so much to your own development is a rewarding and valuable part of being an alumnus.

Planned Giving

Your support has a direct impact on the lives of the children. Contributions help fund program enhancements, such as enhanced outdoor classrooms, professional development for teachers, technology equipment, as well as investments we make related to health and safety. Your generosity will make a difference and reinforce our everlasting commitment to educating children in a safe and meaningful way.

We understand each family’s situation is unique. However, for those families in a position to do so, our hope is that you will consider supporting the St Augustine community and the many investments we have made to ensure the safety of all of our students. All gifts, no matter how large or how small, are meaningful and appreciated!

St. Augustine Public Montessori School is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your  contribution.
