Janet Myer began her Montessori journey in 2000 after she met a high school student who, after 9 years of Montessori education, was so capable, confident, kind and creative.  Ms. Janet looked into the method and immediately fell in love.  After 18 years teaching in exclusive private schools in Ohio, she moved to St. Augustine specifically to serve in a free public Montessori school. She loves helping all children to find and expand upon their unique gifts and talents and has a unique sensitivity to children on the autism spectrum, providing support and accommodations that they may not have in other settings.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Janet loves to spend time at all of the beautiful beaches. She enjoys spending time with her two amazing grandsons as well as reading and researching the science behind brain function and education.

Ms. Janet earned a B.S. from Ohio Dominican University and a Montessori 3-6 AMS credential from the Columbus Montessori Teacher Education Program. She also holds an Ohio permanent and a Florida State teaching certificate.
