Amanda Shields joined the STA Montessori community and our Early Childhood program in the 2022-2023 school year.  Mrs. Amanda enjoys creating an environment conducive to exploration and self- sufficiency that is warm and inviting. She works to empower children to be creative and curious and to be confident in their abilities at their own pace while also encouraging positivity, empathy, and respect for one another and our environment. 

During her free time Mrs. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, having weekend adventures, crafting, and doing anything outdoors or on the water. 

Mrs. Amanda worked previously as an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). While she enjoyed her time in the medical field, she believes her true calling is to work with children as a Montessori Guide. Mrs. Amanda earned her Early Childhood Montessori certification at Age of Montessori, Bozeman Montana.  She is also trained in Positive Discipline.
